This is one of the Amman temples of Kunnathur located near the bus stand and at the entrance of weekly market. The presiding deity is Sri Angalamman. The temple is facing North with an entrance arch. Stucco Dwarapalaki and Dwarabalaka are at the entrance. The temple consists of sanctum sanctorum, and arthamandapam. Vijaya Vinayagar and nagars are under a tree. The Amman looks cute. There are two sculptures with worshiping posture installed at the entrance of sanctum sanctorum as Dwarapalakas.
Some loose sculptures are on the west side of the temple. Looking at the iconography the sculpture may belongs to 19th to 20th Century British period. The temple has the records since 1938. The old temple was built with bricks. Construction of new temple with stone is in progress.
