This is one of the Amman temples of Kunnathur located inside the weekly market with an entrance from Kunnathur to Nambiyur Road. The presiding deity is Arulmigu Aranmanai Mariamman. The temple is facing North with an entrance arch on the road side. Stucco images of Saraswathi, Amman and Lakshmi are on the top.
The temple consists of sanctum sanctorum and an open mandapa. The Amman looks cute in sanctum sanctorum. A soolam, balipedam, a swing and simha vahana are in front of the sanctum. Rajaganapathy sannadhi is in the prakara facing east. The sanctum sanctorum is in a rectangular shape. A two tier vimana with 3 kalasas are on the top.
The temple is believed to be very old and reconstructed during recent years with stone. How this Amman is called with prefix Aranmanai is not known.
