Siddhapureeswarar Temple / Siddhapuriswarar Temple, Pushpagiri ( Sirumur ). Padappai, Kanchipuram District, Tamil Nadu.

08th March 2020.
The visit to this temple was not planned earlier. After Thenneri Shiva Temples Visit, on the way to Tambaram, Mr Kesavan, a Heritage Enthusiast told me about this temple with Pallava period Gajalakshmi. Decided to visit this temple.

The temple is open to sky with a Shivalinga, Nandhi, Balipeedam and a Siddha Vinayagar. A Gajalakshmi panel was installed  near Shivalinga, in which Lakshmi is in sitting on Lotus with both legs are touching the floor. She is shown with two hands holding lotus flowers and a Pallava period makuda. Elephants are shown on the sides.

It was told there was a Pallava period Shiva Temple existed on the same place and inscriptions are also recorded.  Maha Shivratri was also celebrated in a grand manner.
