RAMAESWARAR ( PARAMANANDA MANDAPAM ) TEMPLE, SARVA THEERTA KULAM, KANCHIPURAM, TAMIL NADU.

The visit to the above Temples on the banks of Sarva Theertam  Kulam was as a part of 2020 Maha Shivaratri Temples Visit, on 21^st February 2020.This Gangadheeswarar temple is on the eastern  banks of Sarva Theertam Kulam.

This temple is on the southern side steps of Sarva Theertam (Kulam ). The 18^th Century saint Sri Sivagnana Swamikal, had written the sthalapurana of this temple, in Kanchipuram under Sarva Theertha padalam.

      மருத்துத மலர்மேற் பூத்த வளம்புனல் குடைவோர் தங்கள்

      கருத்தவிர் சருவ தீர்த்தக் கரைபொலி தலங்கள் சொல்வாம் 1

1643   இராமேச்சரம் - பரமாநந்த மண்டபம்

      உருவமென் கமலம் பூத்த உயர்சிவ கங்கைத் தென்பால்

      திருவிரா மேச்ச ரத்துச் சிவபிரான் திருமுன் னாக

      இருவினைப் பிறவிக் கஞ்சி எய்தினோர்க் குறுபே ரின்பம்

      மருவுறும் பரமா நந்த மண்டபம் ஒன்று மாதோ

1644   மண்டபம் இனைய மூன்றும் வைகறை எழுந்து நேசங்

      கொண்டுளம் நினையப் பெற்றோர் உணர்வெலாங் கொள்ளை கொண்ட

      பண்டைவல் வினையின் வீறும் பற்றிய மலங்கள் மூன்றும்

      விண்டுபே ரின்ப வெள்ள வேலையில் திளைத்து வாழ்வார்

There is no separate temple  for this Shiva Linga. The Shiva Linga is installed on the south side steps of Sarva theertha Kulam under a small mandapam called Paramananda mandapa. It is believed that the original Paramanandha mandapa with Shiva Linga was built during 7^th to 8^th Century Pallava period.

LEGEND:

As per Sthalapurana  those who get up early morning and worships Lord Shiva of this Paramanda manda mandapam will get relieved from all the three karmas ஆணவம், கன்மம் & மயை, ie, one should not think he is only great and the happening & its after effects called Anavam,  The sins Sanjitham, Pirartham and Akaamiya, which follows from previous birth and Mayai, should not think that all are real.

This temple is on the bank of Sarva Theertam Kulam and Kanchipuram to Vellore Road.

About 2.4 KM from Kanchipuram Bus stand, 2.0 KM from Kanchipuram Railway Station, 27 KM from Arakkonam Railway Junction and 75 KM from Chennai Central Station.

Nearest Railway Station is Kanchipuram and Nearest Railway Junction is Arakkonam.
