The visit to this Guru Kottam Sri Dakshinamurthy Temple near Kanchipuram east Railway station was a part of 2020 Maha Shivaratri Temples Visit, on 21st February 2020. After Pandaveswar, Dharmehwar and Sri Paranjothi Amman Temple’s Visit, our next destination was to this temple.
Moolavar : Sri Yoga Dakshinamoorthy

The temple is facing South. This temple is also called as Swayambu Yoga Dakshinamurthy and Guru Bhagwan Koil. The temple is in a simple construction with sanctum and a mukha mandapam. Stucco image of Sri Dakshinamurthy is on the top of the mukha mandapa. In Koshtam Brahma, Durgai and Dakshinamurthy.
Sanndhis of Dharmesar, Nageswarar, Manapakkam Sri Kanniamman & Samayapuram Mariamman, Yoga Siddhar Swamikal, Bhairavar, Sandikeswarar, Somasundarar, Meenakshi Amman, Suryan are in the prakara.
TEMPLE TIMINGS:
The temple will be kept open between 07.00 hrs to 10.30 hrs and 17.00 hrs to 20.00 hrs.
HOW TO REACH:
The temple is very close to Kanchipuram East Railway Station
( Periya Kanchipuram ).
1.2 KM from Kanchipuram Bus stand, 2.1 KM from Kanchipuram Railway Station, 31 KM from Arakkonam Railway Junction and 80 KM from Chennai Central Station.
Nearest Railway Station is Kanchipuram and Nearest Railway Junction is Arakkonam.
