Some of the important features of this temple are….
The temple is facing east with a 2009 to 2012 built 5 tier Rajagopuram. In front of the Rajagopuram there are two pillars with inscriptions  installed like Dwarabalakas.  These two stone pillars are the remains of this original temple. Palipedam, Dwajasthambam and Garudalwar are immediately after the Rajagopuram. The sanctum sanctorum consists of Sanctum and a Mandapam.

The Moolavar Sri Pesum Perumal with Sridevi and Bhoodevi are in standing posture.  Moolavar  is holding conch and Chakra in the upper hands and right hand is in Varahastham and left hand is in kada hastham. The expression of Perumal’s face is such that Perumal is speaking to us. Hence Perumal is called as Pesum Perumal. There is a hole in the ears of Perumal which is a special work of sculptors. Moolavar and Urchavar wears the Saligrama garlands. Both Sridevi and Bhoodevi are holding Lotus in their right hands is a special feature of this temple.
