The visit to these Thai Nadukal was part of the Hero Stones, Hero Sthambas also called Malakoil, and Inscription Stones Visit in the Tiruppur and Coimbatore Districts of “Kongu Mandalam” on 25th July 2024. I extend my sincere thanks to Mr. Palladam Ponnuswamy & Logesh of வீரராசேந்திரன் தொல்லியல் மற்றும் வரலாற்று ஆய்வு மையம் – Veerarajendran Tholliyal MaRRum VaralaRRu Ayyvu Maiyam, Tiruppur, for taking us (Me and Mrs. Sakthi Prakash) to all these Heritage sites.
Thai Nadukal, Amandakadavu School.
This Thai Nadukal is sculpted on the boulder, inside the School at Amandakadavu in Tiruppur District. In this Thai Nadukal, a Lady is carrying a Child, and Cows are shown on both sides of her. She is holding a child in her right hand, and her left hand is in a hanging position. A bowl /basket is shown on her head. Since there is no inscription on this Nadukal, some of the experts believe that this Lady / a herder who takes care of her cattle, might have died, either to save from thieves or wild animals.
About 100 meters from the Thai Nadukal, a Nadukal is found erected for two persons. Since the bas-relief is found heavily eroded couldn’t identify anything.

Thai Nadukal / Hero stone for Two Ladies, Jaykarinapuram ( J Krishnapuram ).
This Thai Nadukal is facing east, on the back side of the Village Temple. In this Thai Nadukal, a Lady is carrying a Child, and Cows are shown on both sides of her. She is holding a child in her right hand, and her left hand is hanging. Since there is no inscription on this Nadukal, some of the experts believe that this Lady, a herder who takes care of her cattle, might have died, either to save her cattle from thieves or wild animals.
